Multiple Sclerosis – New Studies

People who have multiple sclerosis (MS) could have problems with learninging, remembering and processing information during the warmer days of the year, according to a new survey published on February 17, which will be presented at the 63rd Annual meeting of the American Academy of Neurology in Honolulu in April 2011.




“Studies have linked warmer weather with increased disease activity and damage in people with multiple sclerosis, but this is the first study to show a possible connection between the warm weather and cognitive processes, thinking skills, in people with this disease,” says study author Victoria Leavitt, from the Kessler Foundation in West Orange in New Jersey.
